NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville-based country recording duo, The Band Steele (Bo Steele/ Ben Rubino), is slated to participate in the upcoming Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Carry Forward® 5K, delivered by CSX®. Lending their time and talents, The Band Steele will appear at three WWP Carry Forward 5K events in San Diego, CA (August 24, 2019), Nashville, TN (September 21, 2019) and Jacksonville, FL (November 9, 2019). Lead singer, Bo Steele, will perform the national anthem to kick off each trek; The Band Steele will perform as part of the respective event schedules.

The Band Steele’s involvement in WWP Carry Forward community events is in keeping with the pair’s dedication to support and honor our men and women of service, and follows the campaign surrounding the duo’s current single, “Sit Awhile.”  Recorded and released in August 2018 as a dedication to our military, “Sit Awhile” has enjoyed exponential engagement from millions worldwide by both country music enthusiasts and military supporters, while the corresponding music video, filmed as a patriotic tribute to our men and women of military service and their families, and highlighting a special appearance of an Army Corporal and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM Veteran (8 Years of Service) who co-stars, has enjoyed millions of views.

Bo and Ben have been engaged in a national tour of VA Hospitals, veteran’s homes and major military bases including Marine Corps Base Quantico, Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell, Fort Hood, Fort Rucker, Tyndall Air Force Base and USO Georgia among others. The Band Steele performed at Naval Base Coronado this past weekend and is scheduled to appear at Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake on Thursday, August 22, 2019.
