After meeting Rye Davisduring the ‘Goober 95.1 WGGC‘ radio interview & “Write a Song” contest in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Rye invited Bo & Ben to join him at The Spillway Bar & Grill the same night for his local show featuring him and a few local musicians for a night of live music with some friends.

Rye Davis is chasing that Neon Rainbow, nationally performing 200-250 shows in the last 3 years. In that time, he has opened for Ted Nugent, Puddle of Mudd, Uncle Cracker, and Chris Knight, been featured on ABC’s Rising Star competition, and was an invited performer at Nashville’s famous Bluebird Cafe.

His journey started while playing for the professional baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies organization in Clearwater, Florida when Rye bought his first guitar. He’d had a lifelong passion for music and had wanted to learn to play. He figured since he had days to kill between games, now would be the perfect time. So he bought a cheap guitar and, as he puts it, “That was the spark that started the fire. I started learning and strumming chords and fell in love with songwriting, plus the guys liked to hear me sing.”

Rye’s smooth, distinctive vocals and his “Let’s all have a good time” attitude bring his brand of Country Music to a whole new generation of listeners who never knew what Country could be. Armed with an All-American, can-do attitude and unwavering faith and determination, Rye Davis stands as a beacon of hope for the return of real, good-time, down home music.”

Of course Bo & Ben accepted the invitation to play a few songs at The Spillway after their interview 4 hours away with WKUL 92.1 FM Radio in Cullman, Alabama scheduled for the same day. 480 miles later, Bo & Ben arrived right on time & enjoyed a great night of music with Rye & Friends in Bowling Green.
